Induction works through magnetic-field technology that excites ferrous (iron or steel) metals causing them to give off heat. This heat is generated in the pot itself so there is no heat loss between the burner and the pot. Additionally, there is no heat being generated by the burner itself making it impossible to burn yourself on an exposed burner. The Mini Duo plugs into a standard 110 V outlet saving you the cost of rewiring an outlet. It produces 1800 watts of cooking power. The modern design of our cooktop was created with simplicity in mind. The face has been engineered with a one-piece ceramic glass surface, where the touch sensors are located underneath. This makes the unit extremely easy to clean, by simply wiping it with a wet towel. Being a double burner cooktop, the Mini Duo benefits from True Induction’s patented power sharing technology. This allows both burners to run off the same plug and divide the power when both burners are in use. To test your current cookware for induction compatibility, simply take a magnet and see if it will stick to the bottom of the cookware. If it sticks well your cookware is induction ready.
